Isabel Fryszberg

Isabel Fryszberg is a singer/songwriter, old time fiddler, was the co-founder and one of the lead singers of the Sisters of Sheynville, an all women vintage klez swing band. The band toured successfully for six years nationally and internationally and awarded vocal group of the year from the Canadian Folk Music Awards. She is also a filmmaker, occupational therapist and founder of an arts-based occupational therapy program called the Creative Works Studio (www.creativeworks-studio.ca). She understands first hand the power of music where she uses music, songwriting and art for healing. Isabel is embarking on a dream project right now where she will fuse the variety of roots styles she has been immersed in and create a new sound with her first solo recording of original songs.
