"Meet Isaiah Brown: Recording Artist/Musician/Song-Writer"

We had the good fortune of connecting with Isaiah Brown and we’ve shared our conversation below.

Hi Isaiah, how do you think about risk?
Without risk, there’s no reward. Everything good in life comes with risk, and accomplishing your goals/dreams wouldn’t be possible without a leap of faith. I moved to LA right after I graduated high school in the small town of Ashland, OR, and had one goal in my mind: to prove to myself and the ones I love that my purpose is music. Being raised relatively conventional (or as conventional as can be isolated in the mountains) brought the necessity of stability in life. As we all know, the music industry is arguably the hardest to create a fully stable life off of. However, I’ve found that risking that stability for the betterment of my craft has proven more rewarding than I could’ve imagined. From just a little hometown barely seen on the map, I’ve managed to work hard and manifest enough that God (the universe/higher power/whatever you want to call it) provided me with the tools I needed to grow and develop my art. Without the risk of pursuing these dreams, I never would have come so far. Risk is crucial for success, and although there’s so much more to accomplish, the affirmation that my dreams are within reach makes that risk so much easier to digest.

Alright, so let’s move onto what keeps you busy professionally?
You may agree, you may not, but I fear music today is the least true to people that it has ever been. With the influence of social media, we are trained to show the best parts of our lives, and many fall into the trap thinking that is how those people are really feelings/living. This has directly come into music, where much of what people are writing about has to do with their success comparative to others, and how “amazing” their life is. This is where I feel I separate myself from many artists today. Instead of creating music all about how amazing my life is, I focus on the parts that are perfectly imperfect. I make music people can truly relate to, and feel empowered by listening. For example, one of my singles “Want Me to Be” is entirely about being your truest self no matter how you’re perceived. The ones for us in the beginning that are still present are the most important individuals to have in your life, but everybody else can be held at a certain distance. That’s not to say we shouldn’t treat every single person with kindness and love, but not conforming to how you believe you want people to perceive you. Those that gravitate to you when you are undeniably being your true self are the right people to have around. There could be a million reasons why someone is your friend, but if it isn’t for the right ones then its best to protect your heart and not conform to those individual’s wants or needs. I’m a firm believer, like my father and mother before me, that our purpose is to serve God and others. We can have a positive impact on everybody without changing who we are. Life is too short to carry around multiple masks. Be yourself, be emotional, be true to your beliefs, and love unconditionally. That is the message I carry through my music, with the stories I tell about my life that is far from perfect. At the end of the day, who can honestly say their life is perfect? My point is to affirm that it’s okay, and all that matters when we’re on our deathbed is that we used the energy in all of us to have a positive impact on the universe and the people around us.

Let’s say your best friend was visiting the area and you wanted to show them the best time ever. Where would you take them? Give us a little itinerary – say it was a week long trip, where would you eat, drink, visit, hang out, etc.
Let’s assume this is pre/post Covid-19, I would take my friends all around the city. There are so many great places to visit in Los Angeles, and it all depends on what the vibe is! For food, Iroha Sushi or Nobu are my go to locations for introducing people to the elusive food industry here. I’d follow up by maybe going to Mama Shelter, or for something more casual, Baja Beach Bar on Hollywood Blvd. We could even adventure to Highlight Room or Warwick for a good time in the nightlife, but at this point in my life I prefer nice quiet spots to really connect and hang with the people I love. As I said before, it all depends on the vibe! If it was their first time here, I’d take them to the Santa Monica Pier & rent bikes to ride down the shore to Venice. Another notable location would be the Wisdome LA, my favorite art exhibit in the city. I’ve lived here for almost 4 years, and there are still so many places I want to visit, so this list will be ever-changing as my experience is.

The Shoutout series is all about recognizing that our success and where we are in life is at least somewhat thanks to the efforts, support, mentorship, love and encouragement of others. So is there someone that you want to dedicate your shoutout to?
There are so many people that have positively impacted my life and given me opportunities to thrive. Firstly, my manager Ayex brought me out of my apartment and job to move in with him and focus solely on honing in on my music. I went from recording in my bedroom to creating a catalogue of 50+ records at the world famous NRG Studios thanks to him. I wouldn’t have nearly the amount of confidence in my abilities or artistry without his help & belief in me. Secondly, I want to shoutout my family, primarily my parents and my uncle Gil. I’ve always had such a strong support system and since the moment I knew I wanted to pursue this dream, my family had my back 100%. I feel so blessed to have their encouragement, and it strengthens me when I find myself is spouts of self-doubt. My uncle Gil was the first person in my life to teach me guitar & the structure of songwriting. He inspired me to learn as much as I can about the music because it’s a beautiful, universal language to express and share. He helped me build a very solid foundation to work off of, and blossom into the artist I am today. I could feel his passion for music so strongly that it became infectious, and soon after I felt that same drive to pursue that dream. Last but definitely not least, I MUST give a shoutout to my fans and of course, God. There are people in my life that have cheered me on and watched me grow since the early days of my career. I still have supporters that discovered me years ago and have pushed me through my journey to success. Without their belief and excitement for my music, I wouldn’t be nearly compelled enough to share my emotion with the world. That brings me to Faith, which is supplied to me directly from God. Even when I feel alone in this world, I know He’s always there for me. For me, the privilege to pray and ask God for help or guidance when I need it most has kept me sane and positive about life/what I’m doing with mine. I hope to glorify God through my impact on others, and spread a message through Him of love, kindness, and unity amongst all of His children. Despite your religious beliefs, the fact our universe works like perfect clockwork is attributed to the energy moving throughout the cycle of life. This energy fuels the world around us, and I would be so lost without it. I have to thank that energy (God to me) for keeping my head above water and moving me towards what I want out of this short life we’re blessed to live.

"Pixel Terror, ESPER, and Isaiah Brown Join Forces to Unleash “Medusa” on Monstercat"

Bringing each of their forward-thinking styles to the table, Pixel Terror, ESPER, and Isaiah Brown deliver the dynamic new single, “Medusa” on Monstercat.

Staying true to their game-inspired sound design, the track marries pixelated bass drops with hypnotizing vocals that pull you in like Medusa.

Pixel Terror share, “Medusa” is about a toxic romance that you hate to love. Like in mythology, she traps your soul and leaves you stone-cold, and nothing you say can make her stay. This was a massive collaboration between the four of us and we are unfathomably stoked to show the world this song.”

Isaiah Brown adds, “Be careful who you give your heart to. Value and protect your unique energy, for nobody can tear you down if you have a golden soul.”

Earlier this week, Pixel Terror invited ESPER and Isaiah on their weekly mctv live stream series, Pixel Terror Tuesdays, for the launch party of “Medusa.” Catch them every Tuesday at 2pm PT on Monstercat’s Twitch channel, here. - The Music Essentials

"THE HYPE MAGAZINE PREMIERES NEW ISAIAH BROWN SINGLE ‘RUN’"

With his first single of 2020 ‘Perfume’ proving to be a huge success and quickly approaching half a million plays across Spotify and YouTube in just under four months, fast-rising Los Angeles based singer, songwriter and producer ISAIAH BROWN is back with his brand new single titled ‘RUN’, as premiered by The Hype Magazine, in collaboration with Australian producer 808 Plug (Lil Durk, Smokepurpp, Moneybagg Yo, Rylo Rodriguez) and award-winning mix engineer Jay Baumgardner (Jay Z, Nas, Common, Alicia Keys), taken from his forthcoming debut album due for release in the autumn.

Speaking about the inspiration behind ‘Run’, Isaiah Brown says, “I love how Travis Scott turns hip-hop psychedelic with his instrumentation and vocal compliments and his ‘Astroworld’ album is still one of my favorite of all time as a result. My track ‘Run’ is my interpretation of that psychedelic hip-hop style, but with more R&B tones instead of rap. Incorporating a voice full of raw emotion onto a well-crafted and trippy instrumental with ‘Run’ brings the listener to a new world, a world that many may have never experienced before”.

Thematically, Isaiah Brown adds, “If you find a love so strong that it blurs the line of reality, be careful you don’t lose yourself. I did, it broke me into pieces before I had the chance to escape, and that’s where the emotion in this record came from. If you can, when you listen to ‘Run’ for the first time, try to close your eyes and imagine yourself in isolation. Wherever you may be, just take a deep breath and feel whatever comes to you. Does it make you want to jump, cry, sing along, or run? Your reaction to this record very well could be your common reaction to love”.

Born and raised in a small community in Oregon, Isaiah Brown tapped into his creative and artistic sensibilities from a young age, and has been pursuing music since he was only 10-years old. Now 21 and residing in Los Angeles as an independent artist, Isaiah’s music can best be described as an exciting and infectious cocktail of R&B, pop, hip-hop and electronic music, and he already boasts nearly half a million plays under his belt, as well as collaborations with dance music and rap stalwarts like Bonnie x Clyde, Smokepurpp, Arius and James Kennedy, among others. - We Plug Good Music

"Meet Isaiah Brown"

Today we’d like to introduce you to Isaiah Brown. Them and their team share their story with us below:

Isaiah Brown is an emerging artist from southern Oregon now currently based in Los Angeles. Looking to perform/work in Atlanta in the future and grow a fan base across the globe. After working on perfecting his craft since he was 10, Isaiah Brown now has amassed millions of streams on his music and recently just released a new record called “The End.” Having to struggle through hardships of bullying, anxiety, and depression, Isaiah Brown is the poster child for following your dreams and going further with your goals than you ever thought possible.

Can you talk to us a bit about the challenges and lessons you’ve learned along the way. Looking back would you say it’s been easy or smooth in retrospect?
Isaiah grew up in a small town with lots of small-minded people. Many people were content with settling and not breaching comfort zones to achieve success. Because of this, Isaiah’s journey to becoming a successful, well-known artist was filled with obstacles. On early social media, Brown was ridiculed and bullied for his attempts at singing. Many of his peers even went so far as to tell him to end his own life and give up on his dreams because they would never come true. After a long battle with these demons, Isaiah packed up and moved to LA to pursue his dream. Flash forward to 2022, Isaiah Brown has now seen a multitude of success with his music and there’s no end in sight.

Appreciate you sharing that. What else should we know about what you do?
Isaiah’s music is fueled by individuality and a message that it’s okay to be unique. Anybody in the world can be whoever they want to be, and Brown’s music emphasizes that. Watching his journey as an artist inspires many around the world to push away all doubt and take the leap of faith in whatever path a person desires. His genre is labeled as “soulful pop,” which entails catchy/emotional melody with a driving force of powerful lyrics. His artistic abilities have brought people around the world together to cherish their opportunity to thrive.

Any advice for finding a mentor or networking in general?
A mentor is so important when it comes to growing creatively. Isaiah’s mission was to consistently surround himself with individuals who inspired him and supported his journey. From there, a mentor would appear. Creatives can come across many mentors in their life, but it’s important to remember that learning is the most crucial part of being an artist.

Shoutout to my management – Ayex Show; Jay Baumgardner and the Fix Entertainment Team for giving me an incredible foundation to really blossom as an artist.

"Isaiah Brown releases generational hit record "The End" featuring emerging artist Tawnted"

After months of not having released a record from his project, Isaiah Brown shocked the internet with the year ending release of his new single "The End."

While I wrote 'The End' about moving on from being with somebody I loved deeply, it evolved into the active affirmation that one door closed is a better door opened.”— Isaiah BrownLOS ANGELES, CA, USA, January 2, 2022 /EINPresswire.com/ -- Today, on December 31st, the world was graced with a new song to close the year off and move onto bigger, better things. If you're a fan of the emerging talent Isaiah Brown then you'll understand the anticipation behind any of his releases. After not having released a record from his project in months, Brown gave his fans and listeners an anthem for going into the new year with a clean slate and positive intentions.

Known for his soulful take on pop music and unique approach to the blending of genre, Isaiah Brown has captured the attention of people around the globe with his new song. In a recent interview on Instagram Live, Brown stated that "the best part about starting a new year is giving it concrete goals and intentions. 'The End' could contain a different message to each and every person that listens. While I wrote 'The End' about moving on from being with somebody I loved deeply, it evolved into the active affirmation that one door closed is a better door opened. I try not to set New Years Resolutions because expectation is the killer of dreams, but the mentality I feel now from this song is my approach to 2022."

"The End" also features an emotionally-spirited verse from up and coming artist 'Tawnted.' Jonathan Armswood (Tawnted) gained a massive following after his groundbreaking single "Start A War" made a wave on TikTok, and his collaboration with Isaiah Brown is no different. During a livestream on TikTok, Tawnted explained to his fans that to him the song is about "moving on and leaving toxic people or situations behind. Being content with 'the end' of a toxic relationship whether it be romantic or friendship." The energy carried in his verse certainly captures the feeling of finally turning away from something that no longer fuels purpose in ones life.

This track features deep, powerful production by the talented Mark Rhodes (aka MT Streets.) Using a guitar sample created by Isaiah Brown, Rhodes built the record around the emotion of devastating yet appreciated change. Brown and Rhodes are said to have multiple unreleased records together, and "The End" is supposedly the first of many. Based on the world's reaction to their first work released, fans could expect to see many more new records pushed out by these two.

Without a doubt, "The End" is a song everybody should hear at least once. The world has endured unthinkable amounts of trauma in the past couple years, and it needs a new theme song to thrive. The end of 2021 marks a new era of society wherein all members work together for a better future, and "The End" by Isaiah Brown is the perfect tune to go into 2022 with that mentality.

"The End" was released on all streaming & social media platforms hours before the start of 2022, and is available to everyone now! For more updates on Isaiah Brown and his upcoming releases, follow his social media pages @IsaiahBrownMusic. This is set to be the first single of many in the coming months, with rumors of another record coming in just two weeks! If you're looking for a new song to set your mood for the future, "The End" may be the perfect candidate. - EIN News

"ESPER and Lockbox Tap Isaiah Brown for Must-Listen Melodic Bass Track, “Freefall” – EDM.com"

Rising electronic music producers ESPER and Lockbox have teamed up with Los-Angeles-based singer-songwriter Isaiah Brown for a new single called “Freefall.”
Brown provides a stentorian topline here, exploring the difficulties of letting go and finding the strength to break free from the shackles of the past. The transcendent nature of the lyricism is mirrored by the track’s soaring drops, which find ESPER and Lockbox producing a melodic bass stunner replete with empyrean synths and fluttering arpeggios.

The young producers go haywire in the second drop, switching up the arrangement with a ferocious dubstep segment before bringing the song home with a melancholic coda.

Take a listen to “Freefall” below and find the single on streaming platforms here. - FPP News

Bio

Bred from the mountains in Southern Oregon, Isaiah Brown went from writing poems in the middle of nature to using his passionate drive to produce, mix/master, and perform his candid catalog of EDM, soul-pop, and indie-pop records. "Music about love connects so well, in my opinion, and to my ear, because of the relatability." Isaiah emphasizes, "Not to say everybody has been in love, but we're all born with love. So love is something we all have in common, and if authentically conveyed, it can be the reason for our togetherness." Brown has created over three albums worth of material and continues to sing, write, produce, and record new records nearly every day.

Isaiah Brown has worked with creatives in all walks of the genre, including--to name a few--EDM DJ/Producers Arius, Pixel Terror, Bonnie x Clyde and James Kennedy to Hip-Hop/R&B artists RayJ, Smokepurpp, MTStreets, DT, and many more. With a clear focus on lyricism & soul, his primary motivation is connecting people to their most authentic selves/others--and it is working.  Currently, Brown is reaching an average of 100k listeners monthly on Spotify and plans to expand his audience through touring/performances. Brown's most notable performance thus far was an energetic debut of popular collaboration "Crazy For Falling" with Arius (which has now reached close to 2 million streams.) His solo performance consists of a DJ set of popular dance/pop music along with his original songs, to which he adds live vocals/acoustic & electric guitar. A live band is also in the works, but Brown currently takes a more straightforward approach to getting his music out there starting his touring.

Isaiah Brown is undoubtedly an artist to watch, listen to, and gravitate to in the upcoming years. "I still have so much I want to accomplish, and I know God/the universe/whatever you want to call it has a plan for me. I strive to follow that plan to bring those around me to an elevated state of collective unity and love. I hope you'll join me in the movement I work each day to create."

"Isaiah's imagination is a musical vessel that keeps soaring and soaring."
-Jay BaumgardnerOwner of NRG Studios in Los Angeles, California
