BandPopAcoustic

As far as original material goes, my sound is a riff-based blend of acoustic guitar tracks with intricate rhythms mixed with a rock feel (i.e. if you were to give Dave Matthews more of a rock/blues influence). My covers consist fun songs that are great to sing along with and please a crowd.

Biography

My influences come from every area of the world (and possibly outside of this world). They stem from the classic rock era and blues. Other influences are metal, jazz, hard rock, classical, pop rock, progressive rock, progressive metal, primitive African/Cuban music, old country, and folk music.

Lyrics

The Chase

Written By: Isak Allen

Oh, won't you come here my girl,
follow this calling finger,
Now, dig deeper than the surface could,
ever hold,
I, would beg that this night,
would be the,
Night, persuasion takes hold,
and then won't let go,

Why do you run away from me like it's one big game of hide and go seek?
Walkin' on my fingertips, i creep,
though footprints in the street are tellin' me the rain has swept you away,

Chorus:
If I could, then i would,
Chase you around and around, oh
So run girl, Come on, girl,
and we'll see just how long you can last,
I see your back, Can't see your face,
wondering how forbidden fruit will taste,
Corners turned, lessons learned, back to the chase, set, GO!

Hey, lookin' like this maze has brought me somewhere good 'cause,
now, your scent is runnin' through my veins and,
stop...this dead end says, give it up but,
then, that girlish grin comes creepin' in and you soar away

(Chorus)

Bridge:
Everyone knows and everyone goes,
everyone falls sometimes,
everyone thinks that the lasso falls empty everytime,
but what is wrong becomes right, move quick you're losing time,
losing time, losing time, oh, move quick you're losing time, losing time, losing time, movie quick your losing time...

(Chorus until ending riff)

A Feather Blue

Written By: Isak Allen

I can't seem to hide the way the sorrow flows from the core,
whisperin' calls of distress from the shore,
well cut my lifeline, white flag high, its time to drop the moon,
home is far, but home is near, i'm backin' out the door,

but why was it safe to,
the tea kettle wears me thin,
and i of a feather blue,
am stuck inside the sound...
take me on down...

once i was a boy of 8, i couldn't care any less,
know that love's been thrown my way, its nothin' but more distress,
well check my mind, its come undone, its time to drop the moon,
home is far but home is near, i'm backin' out the door,

why was it safe to,
the tea kettle wears me, oh so thin,
and i of a feather blue,
am stuck inside the sound...
take me on down...

Chorus:
Little birdy trapped on a window ledge,
reaching just to find her own way out,
she quickly gazes all around still trapped inside, i'm trapped under her spell,
but precious time is wasted on,
i'm burnt black to this core,
little birdy still stuck on that window ledge,
i wish she was stuck in my window instead...

(Instrumental and Chorus and out)

Like Heaven

Written By: Isak Allen

Lookin' up from down there and,
pullin' back your long hair and,
dancin' 'round that fire, our toes in the sand,

pull up a chair my friend,
light it up and burn one then,
bottom's up from dusk til dawn said the ground is my bed,

catchin' eyes across the room,
might find that angel soon,
i feel like heaven just lookin' at the way you move,

what's left i can't explain i'm going insane, its that beat, its that rhythm, its that way you move those hips little lady come on!

Chorus:
babygirl, step inside, i wanna show you a little whats on my mind,

babygirl, keep in line, i wanna show you just whats on my mind

Verse:
Goosebumps will start to rise, thinkin' about all the things i could do to you tonight,

lickin' my lips, feelin' moisture envelope my tongue, the day is almost done, baby come on,

Chorus

Knock On Wood

Written By: Isak Allen

Lovers and haters, brothers and neighbors,
flip through the pages and you just might find a revelation,
livin' large and i'm livin' in charge, ain't got a dime in my pocket,
its good that you got one in yours,
lookin' up, seein' down, got me thinkin' about the path i'm following, im wallowing, but where's the sense in that,
gotta find a way out, but hammering against these walls just ain't no good, let's knock on wood and maybe i should just...

Pre-chorus:
twist and tangle me in this web of despair,
reason, reason, god, get me out of my head,

Verse:
she lookin' oh so fine, my heart begins to rise,
your body's askin' me, won't you come on over tonight,
my beauty please, i need your lovin', i need your huggin' and your sugar lips on mine,
its then i think, "maybe i'll pull through," with the notion maybe somewhere there's a mountain, i could move,
so give in to intuition, give in, just sit and listen, give in to just a little sin, once in a while,

Pre-chorus

Chorus:
don't leave me low, don't leave me hangin' on the edge,
don't let me fall, just let me fly into something else,
don't leave me low, don't leave me hangin' on the edge,
don't let me fall, just let me fly into something else,
