Isle of Dogs is the most recent collaboration between vocalist/
keyboardist/programmer OE, guitarist Mark Anderson and bassist Laurie Wilson.
Taking influence from bands like MGMT, David Bowie, U2, Radiohead, Arcade Fire and Metric, the members of Isle of Dogs play a style of electronically driven rock music that has been evolving for years.
In 2006, under the name Il Attire, they released a self-produced EP entitled Don't You Look Pretty. Following its release, Il Attire built a loyal following playing countless shows around Toronto, opening for bands such as Shiny Toy Guns and Die Mannequin.
In 2008, Il Attire contributed a remix to the Looking Glass EP (released by The Birthday Massacre); The remix for "Red Stars" was originally co-written by OE for the album "Walking With Strangers" in 2007.
In 2009 OE, Mark and Laurie decided to move in a new direction when they started writing new songs as a three-piece. As a trio, Isle of Dogs have crafted a new sound melding their love of rock, electronic and hip-hop music into a sound collage completely their own.
The band has just begun playing their new material with session drummers to live audiences and will be heading into studio this winter to work on a new recording.
