With a seamless voice that resonates with a hybrid of (Green-Eyed !) Soul, R&B and Reggaeton, Ismini wields her powerful vocals and veteran-esque showmanship to create a unique sound and style that blends genres and expectations. She began honing her vocal skills at the age of 12, singing a variety of styles ranging from Classical, Opera, Country, Jazz, and R&B. One may get an impression of Ismini 22 (of true Greek ethnicity), after hearing her unblemished rendition of the National Anthem… but will conclude that she is a multi-faceted Artist… once they hear her work with House, Break Beat, Acid and Hip Hop n RnB jointz. Ismini isn’t content to be a part of the music scene, she plans on elevating it with her ethnic and genre bending style.
Originally representing Alberta, Canada… In 2005, Ismini moved to the Boston, Ma. area (U.S.A) on a pursuit to bring her musical dreams into fruition. She met her accomplished vocal coach Lisa Chainey, while performing at various open mic nights throughout the Eastern seaboard area. At the age of 22… Ismini is blossoming into the consummate Artist/Dancer/Actress, to state it simply… she is ”True-Talent” or as some have described her “a versatile Joss Stone oozing with an innocent sex appeal and dancing shoes. Ismini recording her demo project… which will showcase her big soulful voice (with some high-profile producers: Grammy winner “Rockwider” (Jay Z- “not guilty”, Destiny’s Child- “bootylicious”, Lil Kim- “notorious”, 50 cent, Mya, and Eminem…) and female Berklee grad, producer/engineer “Storme” who has worked with (Younglord, Bad Boy WW, The “Hitmen”, Ed Goodreau of “Interscope” Janice Coombs Management, Tony Maserati and BMG, just to name a few…) infectious beats. Already being touted by 2 Major Label A&R Directors… Ismini is truly a rare-bird sanger/songwriter… to keep an eye on… in the 4th ¼ of 2006. Do Not Sleep... with spins (“Hot Spot”) in the Boston/New York area… and a growing nyc mixtape (“Famous Flava”) fan base… The Real Streets are watching and listening… Isminit is currently accepting on her behalf … track submissions from Alberta,Canada producers, Ismini is available for recording, production and publishing deals.
