Chuck Woods, better known as IsReal, is a rapper / producer / song writer and studio engineer. IsReal has spent the last fifteen years sharpening his writing as well as entrepreneurial skills. Like most inner city youth, IsReal’s love of hip hop became a way of life and he has spent the last decade establishing his position as one of the most innovative and positive hip hop artist.
In 2006, IsReal, Jaz-E, and William Craig, formulated the live band IsReal Authentic, which is a mix of positive hip hop, neo soul and R&B. The band calls this melting pot of music “Hip Hop Melodic”. Within the last year IsReal Authentic has opened for Tony, Toni, Tone and performed for Kindred Family’s after party. IsReal Authentic’s recordings include the singles, “My People”, a tribute to the victims of Hurricane Katrina, “Trust”, “Mother Cry”, “Best Day”, “Best Day Remix” and “Anniversary” featuring Tony, Toni, Tone. IsReal continues to produce, write and consult for local artist.
