"Just Be Good"

In an overcrowded scene where getting noticed is everything, Yorkshire upstarts I Swim With Sharks have delivered a powerful statement of intent with effortlessly catchy new single ‘Just be Good’. Replete with an infectious pop-nous yet retaining a developed indie sensibility which will please the most hardened muso, the fast-rising trio are sure to add many new fans to their already burgeoning fanbase with ‘Just be Good’. And you can listen to the single exclusively here!

Accompanying the new single is a frankly stunning video depicting the band amongst the carnage of World War I trenches (explosions, planes, mud sweat and tears) before they escape to perform a somewhat surreal gig, only to be interrupted by local police. Produced with a widescreen cinematic aplomb it is a fitting aesthetic representation for a band whose music pushes the envelope in terms of remorseless catchiness as well as internal complexity and engaging atmospherics.

With a string of festival appearances under their belt this summer, I Swim With Sharks are quietly cementing their place as underground favorites for 2011 and beyond. Truly a band not to be missed.

‘Just Be Good’ is released on 21st November as a free digital download via the I Swim With Sharks Facebook page and website.

"Just Be Good"

Yorkshire upstarts I Swim With Sharks have just dropped the new video for their latest single ‘Just Be Good’. Depicting the band in the chaos of World War One trench warfare (explosions, planes, mud sweat and tears) before they escape to perform a somewhat surreal gig, only to be interrupted by local police; Odd? Yes – Amazing? Yes.

Already hailed as ones to watch amongst the scuffle of acts coming out of the thriving Leeds music scene, ‘Just Be Good’ is the fitting introduction to their askew indie sensibilities and pop-nous.

You can check out the video below and find out more about the band at iswimwithsharks.com. The single drops November 1st.

"Just Be Good"

I Swim With Sharks is an indie rock trio based out of Leeds, Yorkshire and they are on the rise. They are just about to release their catchy new single “Just Be Good” and on November 21st it will be a free download on their facebook page and their website. With an infectious and distinct sound these guys are hard to dismiss. Below is the stunning video for the new single where they are portrayed fighting in the trenches among gunfire and explosions. They escape and make their way to an isolated gig only to be shut down by police. The video is really well done. It has surprising cinematic qualities that portray a realistic sense of life on the front of war. Be sure to check out these guys on facebook and download the single “Just Be Good”. - Dinos Word

"Just Be Good"

Absolutely fantastic punk indie rock in all senses of the word. The band have captured and bottled a vigourous raw frantic musical energy, shaken it up and just let it explode throughout this song. The vocals and riff have that sense of simplicity which is just genius and one that so few bands can carry off. They remind me of a modern day version of The Clash where a sense of fiery angst has been exchanged for powerful determination and delivery.
