Ital Rain Reggae Band

From the planet of Brooklyn comes Ital Rain, a Reggae band spreading positive vibes and dynamic energy to all who will listen. Founded in 2009 by Ron “Cecil” Simon, Ital Rain has blazed a trail on the Reggae scene with its jazz, funk, R&B and rock inspired Reggae music.

Consisting of seasoned veterans in the music industry, this dynamic band captures the audience from the very first “one drop”. You can expect many sides of Reggae music from Ital Rain, like lover’s rock, roots, ska and dancehall. Ital Rain’s repertoire consists of original music, as well as songs from such Reggae notables as Bob Marley, Beres Hammond, UB40, Dennis Brown, Gregory Isaacs, Tarrus Riley, Morgan Heritage and others.

Members of Ital Rain have opened for or played with the following major label Reggae bands and/or artists: Yellow Man, the late Dennis Brown, The Mighty Sparrow, Buju Banton, Marcia Griffiths, the late Sugar Minot, Sister Carol, Carlene Davis, the late Gregory Isaacs, Frankie Paul, Beenie Man, Wayne Wonder, Xstatic, Maxi Priest, Super Cat, Bounty Killer, Luciano, Shine Head and Patra, among others.

Members of Ital Rain have also performed all across the world (Canada, England, Amsterdam, Japan, China, USA, Jamaica, Trinidad, Barbados, Grenada, Brazil, Suriname, St. Vincent, etc.), including such renowned NYC venues as Madison Square Garden, House of Blues, B.B. King’s, S.O.B’s, Crash Mansion, Sullivan Hall, Africa House, The Groove and The Red Lion.
