Born and raised in Detroit, MI, I. T. P. (International Thug Poet) has always been influenced by great literature. From the philosophical views of DR King, to the nationalistic thoughts and approaches of Malcolm X.
Through God, hard work, and determination I. T. P. looks to create classic black music that has been somewhat absent in today's mainstream.
His debut album "Hood Paintings" is just the right blend of commercialism and subject matter he feels to break him into the limelight. "Hood Paintings is just the setup chameleon." "It's what everyone wants to hear until I get my chance to change the game," states ITP.
I. T. P. recently changed his name from I. S. Y. C. L. U. S. (Intelligence Shows Yahweh Commonly Leaves Us Signs) because he felt the world wasn't ready to think yet. "The people are all in the club now and I have to get them out and thinking first!"
I. T. P. feels it's his time because he is now armed with a lethal production crew, a Mr. Personality VP, and a Veteran CEO who knows more about everything than everything knows about himself.
