Bio

Ivano Icardi is an Italian guitar player, recording artist, multi platinum producer and composer.

 

Bio:

Born in 1975, he began playing at the age of 5, soon participating in several important national competitions for guitarists.

 

As a producer he has participated to several "Platinum Awards" albums and actively collaborates with: Warner, Sony and Universal. 

As a composer he has been working with the main Italian television companies: RAI, Mediaset, La7, MTV, Sky, Magnolia, Walt Disney, 20 Century Fox; 

As a songwriter he has participated several times to the main tv talent shows such “X Factor” or “Amici”, he has also composed music for world brands such as: Coca-Cola, Nivea, Toyota, Lacoste and many others.

 

Over the past ten years he has worked on over 3,000 songs as a producer, guitarist, arranger or composer.

 

In 2010 he decided to resume his artistic career as a solo guitarist starting to work on a series of instrumental songs for guitar which resulted in the publication of the album Walking with the Giants (2013), released with the international record label of Steve Vai, Digital Nations. 

In 2014 and 2015 he released several singles starting a series of world-class collaborations with Gregg Bissonette, Bryan Beller, Fabrizio Grossi, John Giblin, Kenny Aronoff, Alessandro Alessandroni Jr and many other well known musicians. 

 

In 2016 he released his acclaimed second solo album So Far Away.

 

In 2019 he was invited to participate, together with Ariel Posen, Josh Smith and Jeff McErlain, in the important 4-day music festival Umbriablues Festival, from this concert the live album "Ivano Icardi - Live at Umbria Blues Festival" will come to life.

 

With his trio, he performs in many tours, sharing the stage with some of the great musicians of the Italian scene, such as Lele Melotti, Lorenzo Poli and Elio Rivagli.

 

Since 2019 he is has also the owner of the Skyline Studio, a modern recording studio located in Turin (Italy), cited as a “source of inspiration” for acoustics and design by the prestigious "Music Tech" magazine (December 2019).
