Ivan Sandomire

Ivan (that's me) Sandomire was born in Providence, R.I. in the late seventies...moved to the small rural town of Acme, WA and spent his early dancing days jiving to the likes of the Beatles and Jimmy Cliff records all through the lazy sunday morns...with a heavy dose of 45's playing, the youth set his eyes at the skies swirling in song and dance till he fell down dizzy...waking up the next morning in Seattle, he realized he was 8 yrs. old, and where the hell had all the time gone? Sure enough, motown was calling, crooning sweet soul stringing songs late into the Casey Kasem soft rock night...bolstered by their calming familiarities, he was quite flustered to learn that music comes along with opinion, and relative appreciation, and for that matter; deprecation...surely he could tell no one at his boarding school in Detroit that his Grandpa had sent him Bach and Chopin mix tapes...though soon enough he was ravaged by rock and he took heart, no more faint stirrings of far off muses, these ones. now it was open season on this poor li'l kids ears...surrendering at last to the inevitable love that was pledged him at birth, he gave himself up at the altar, and has been fulfilling the prophecy of 'be fruitful and multiply' to the nth degree ever since... so, smile, as charlie chaplin might say, we have music left in us yet after all.
