"Ivette Meow - Concert Review"

"...Cruising through an electrifying 13-song set list which included an upbeat and hand-clapping dancer in ‘Keep Walking’ and an incredible polka-folk-rock-jazz-fusioned bass line on ‘Blue Moon’, the duo gave us what would happen if Michael Cera would play alongside Tia Carrere – in other words, think Scott Pilgrim on bass and Cassandra from Wayne’s World wailing the vocals and guitar. They grinned at each other constantly during the set, visibly proud of their performance and the encouraging crowd, who all left as happy as the duo..." - Patrick Lortie - The Radio Station

"Ivette Meow - Girl With A Squirrel"

"Ivette Meow – Girl With A Squirrel I remember hearing this album for the first time and being blown away by the production values and great songwriting of yet another quality unsigned artist..." - David White (host of The White Show, BBC Radio Cornwall) - The Melody Mine

"The Squirrel Girl"

"On Girl with a Squirrel, a very pleasant little funk side adds to the pop-rock sound that already carries so well and the result is amazing. Her warm voice, just and soulful comes on top of everything, giving the final product a sunny sound. Add to that the simple, well written lyrics and you've got it." - Antoine Leclerc - Dan Tes Oreilles

Bio

GIRL WITH A SQUIRREL: Groove fusion with a big-band pop flavour.

Ivette Meow is a singer-songwriter who's got a groove in her heart and a squirrel on her sleeve.

Armed with a voice that's silky smooth AND has soul power, Meow's melodic hooks will keep singing long after the music has stopped. Her first independent album - a tribute to her late companion Rocky the Squirrel - mixes in brass and violin arrangements to her jazzy-funky-pop songs to give them a very bright and full sound.

After launching herself in Montreal, Miss Meow has gained fans worldwide through her extensive traveling across North America, Asia, and Australia. Through her sunny stage persona, and her innovative cat and squirrel creations (mainly crochet and origami), Meow translates her love of music to all ages and races. Fun is always on her plate, whether its busking on the streets or rocking out onstage, and it's guaranteed that she will bring a smile to everyone's faces.

Meow explores her songwriting in a variety of styles that, like her, are constantly evolving. Her next album, STARSOUL & MOONSHINE, will bring in more diversity and influence from all the different cultures and musicians that she has jammed with along the way. S&M is planned for release in early 2014.

Like a true CATalyst, Ivette Meow will never stop moving forward, and it's only a matter of time before the rest of the world will know her voice as the cat's MEOW.
