i v o r y l i n e = an energetic brand of catchy, melodic, ambient, yet intense rock...merging guitars, synths, and humans together with amazing skill

Biography

Why should you care?

Because we do, not only about our own songmanship and presentation, but about the people who work hard to make the music industry live: the venue owners, promoters, bookers, other bands, and especially the fans.

This band was not formed by a clumsy group of teenagers imitating rock music in their garage; ivoryline was formed by elite musicians that came together to create oustanding music and to establish their career in the music business.

When viewing the synergy of their live set, comprised of dynamic presence and impeccably tight sound, it is evident Ivoryline’s natural scene is onstage. They have been able to penetrate the barriers separating catchy, ambient rock from hard rock creating a distinct musical style accented by traces of electronica and ambient-delay guitar.

Since forming in the summer of 2003, Ivoryline has rapidly become a pressing force in Texas music and abroad. The core of the band has persevered through several member changes and now, has assembled a lineup that is more inspired than ever due to their tight-knit camaraderie and shared faith. Every original song is a direct reflection of the eclectic talents offered by each member of the band.

Their fan base has swiftly grown due to Ivoryline’s smartly crafted lyrics and honest approach to the music scene. After the heavily anticipated debut in which they opened for Embodyment, fans were hooked and captivated by the band's sound and passion.

Let it be known that our goal is to hook you too.

Lyrics

taking every chance you know how

Written By: Jeremy Gray

You're one to talk when you know that
this isn't going right, this is going left.
You're one to lie when you know
that you're coming exposed, girl.
You're one to talk when you know that
this isn't going right, this is going left.
You're one to lie when you know
that you're coming exposed, girl.

Your walls are coming swiftly down.
Running around, running around this town
taking every chance you know how.
Screaming out, screaming loud
that you're not gonna die here.

You're one to kill when you think
that your life is on the line
you might die tonight.
You're one to sing when you think
that somebody's listening.
You're one to talk when you know that
this isn't going right. This is all wrong.
You're one to lie when you know
that you're coming exposed, Girl.

You're not gonna die here baby.
Your mind is mine now baby.
Your mind is mine now baby.

Running around, running around this town
taking every chance you now.
taking every chance you know how
I'm sure you do.

parade

Written By: Jeremy Gray

This is my melody
this is my sympathy for your coming out
this is your coming out parade

You've been here for several years
and your life's been quite alright till now.
He says "you've done something wrong"
you've scored, but he says you've done something wrong
Reaching out for him to hold you,
or just to call you, holding off for something
just to sing along.

This is my melody
this is my sympathy for your coming out
this is your coming out parade
this is my melody for your coming out

Kindness is dead in this town
and drama has been crowned
the acceptable medium of living.
Kindness is dead in this town
and drama holds the crown.
All alone here, dying slowing here.
Screaming loud dear, that you
you need more from me.

You know, you know
it's gleaming out your eyes
and you know, you know
it's sneaking through your precious lips
