Planted with humble expectations, Ivy Garden has broken through the topsoil of the Lincoln, NE music scene with dreams of growing beyond the sun. Guitarist Brandon Jochum, drummer Josh Hinman, and guitarist/keyboardist Tyler Morgan formed Ivy Garden in October 2011, intending to play only a single show for friends and family. But the garden continued to grow. Singer/bassist Mark Tewes joined the lineup in June 2012, and after a summer of furious songwriting, Ivy Garden sprung onto the local scene. With a focus on precision, celestial harmony, and cohesive discord, Ivy Garden isn't a band focused on creating songs as much as it is an experience, transcending labels like "progressive rock" or "experimental," to reach an elusive status “originality." How else can you describe something you've never heard before?
