Bio

Blessed with one of the most "soulful" voices of music today, Ivyia's instrument continues to echo through the gospel industry.

Formerly of O'Landa Draper & The Associates, Ivyia debuted her natural soprano voice on the 1990s hit "Keep Me, Jesus" on the Word/Epic release "Do It Again." She recorded and released several songs under Draper's ministry, including "It Is Well," "Use Me," and a heart-felt duet with him called "Hold On." Her voice can be heard on the( 1993) Civil Rights Museum album, rendering the acclaimed last requested and favorite song of Dr. Martin Luther King, Jr. before his death, "Precious Lord (Take My Hand), " narrated by Dr. Benjamin Hooks (NAACP).

Ivyia, has been singing since she was a small child. She attributes her passion for singing to her father and a family who has always loved to sing and play musical instruments. She believes that it's a bloodline, "God-given talent."

Ivyia's, most recent recordings include the not yet released "Well, Well, It's All Right" on the Gospel Music Workshop Of America Mass Choir album.

"Ivyia has sung background for several great artists; such as, Shirley Ceasar, LaShun Pace, Yolanda Adams, Ce-Ce Winans and Donnie McClurkin, just to name a few. She also, has a small verse on the title song of the GMWA Women of Worship CD, " THE CORONATION."

Her favorite artists include, Yolanda Adams, Kim McFarland, Vanessa Bell-Armstrong, Aretha Franklin, Gladys Knight and Brandy. Ivyia, states, "I have music in my heart and the vision for my music ministry is to spread the goodness of Jesus through song."
