Bio

It's not truly known when I Will Be Okay. Everything. came into existence, other than at some point its respective members met while in high school and evetually started playing. What is certain, however, is why: they were sad, and needed a way to show it. Playing a melancholic combination of dream pop and emo just seemed like a natural fit.
As one would expect starting out as teenagers, the group's beginning was pretty commonplace. Vocalist/guitarists Alex Crupi and Nathan St. John met, wrote, eventually brought on drummer Henry Amestoy and Devan Agrawal on synths/vocals, and played their first show in a friend's house. What wasn't average, however, was the music they produced; their overtly melancholic mix of dream pop and modern emo revival quickly garnered attention, which led to them playing local shows seemingly nonstop for months on end, and warranted the recording of their debut EP, Give Up Before You Start
Lacking both funding and time, Give Up Before You Start was recorded in about 4 days in Henry's garage, with three microphones and a laptop. The end result was a massive ball of lo-fi reverb and nostalgia that gained a great deal of acclaim, and led to their playing big regional festivals like Noise Pop and Sasquatch! Music Festival and touring all along the West Coast.
Fast forward to today, and they're continuing to play plenty of their signature low-octane live shows, which as Alex likes to put are "more aimed making you feel than making you dance." Recording looms on the horizon, though it's too early to call exactly what will become of it. But for now, they'll keep charging forward toward the same dusky horizon they've had their sights set on from the beginning. Stay tuned.
