"Reggae Update"

I yahn I Arkestra does indeed sound more like an orchestra than a band on Love Mission (Inity). Every Space is filled with percussion, horns, tinkling piano, synth strings, freeform sax, soaring vocals from the mystically named Kaseaopia. Chanted lessons from the slightly sing-songy Ras Jah D and everything from flute, trumpet, sitar, guitars, tabla, bass, and drums. I was left with the sense of being in and Indian Temple where the bright colors , incense filled air and bells overwhelm the senses to underscore the point. - The Beat Magazine

"Love Mission"

Roots outfit hailing from Philadelphia with a lush , vintage sound. The group sports an engrossing full-band flavor that's the main selling point of Love Mission. The songs are Free - Flowing and Jammy and combined with the spiritual lyrics and layered drums, they create the feel of an old-fashioned Rastafarian groundation. - Reggae Reviews

Still working on that hot first release.

I Yahn I Arkestra is not a band or even an orchestra, but an Arkestraa concept taken from the iconic, intergalactic band leader Sun Ra who firmly believed in music as a craft facilitating universal consciousness elevation to higher realms of greater possibility, knowledge and understanding.... Further exploring this revolutionary approach to the creation of music and consciousness, band leaders and co-founders Ras Jah D and Kaseaopia have integrated the Arkestra concept into every aspect of the bands approach to writing, collaboration and musical composition. And in the process, they have managed to bring together a unique collective of musically-gifted individualsconnected on a higher level, all able to harness the magic of the rootical, musical universe in the studio, on the stage and beyond. In addition to headlining their own shows, I Yahn I Arkestra has also supported major national headlining acts over the yearsfrom Lee Scratch Perry to Jimi Cliff and The Wailers . They have been dubbed live at The Theater of Living Arts in Philadelphia by the Mad Professor himself, and have opened up for acts such as Israel Vibrations, Lotus, Turbulence, The Meditations, Luciano, John Browns Body, SOJA, Yellow Man, Gregory Isaacs, Beres Hammond, Giant Panda Gorilla Dub Squad, Nasio Fontain, and Junior Reed (among others).
