Bio
We are a 3 piece electro rock act out of Hollywood Ca.
We make pop music that is a blend of electro, punk rock and hip hop.
Growing up I felt like the Black sheep. My family really didn't understand. Although they loved me
I don't think they got me
I felt like an Outcast.
The heavy electric guitar strings played minor chords and Hip Hop in the background. Filling [his] heart with a sad song; music was going to be his savior. It was going to fill in the gaps of his lonely and misunderstood childhood.
Talented singer-songwriter and a modern day rocker, Izzi-iz, was born in Detroit, Michigan. He later moved to Nashville, Tennessee midway through high-school, than again moving to Atlanta, GA.
Izzi-iz wanted a change. He knew that in order to make that happen he had to do something different.
In 2009, he packed his bags and moved across the country to Los Angeles, CA.
He wasnt the typical black guy singing rnb tunes or rapping over Hip-Hop beats. Izzi-Iz was different.
With black eyeliner heavily plastered across the lining of his eyelids and a rocker hairstyle and attitude to match; he had developed an identity for himself that he continued to re-invent.
A series of club promotion jobs led him to a brighter future and the introduction to two talented producers, who put the thoughts of singer/songwriter into a digital finished mix-tape.
In Summer of 2012, Izzi-Iz released his highly anticipated mix tape, Hollywood Nights, which was produced by musically gifted Alex Koch and his equally gifted partner Craig Phelps of Digital Dust Studios.
After the release of Hollywood Nights, the compliment of being named the black David Bowie surfaced.
A heavily influential LA-based indie Blogger Joy Bullard of Trending LA, states mix tape Hollywood Nights is
effing Dope. Describing his sound as being an infused ...Punk, Electro, Pop sound
He was no longer the little boy that walked alone. He was Izzi-Iz, who performed on the stages across Los Angeles, CA with his own band.
The decision to move to the Los Angeles, live as a homeless man for an entire year in Hollywood, CA was beginning to all seem worth it.
