Missin' You

Written By: Jessica Pitcaithly

(Girl) It’s been a long time since we talked
But that doesn’t mean I’m not thinkin’ of you
You’re still in my head
Baby what am I gonna do

(Chorus) The longer I think about it
The harder it is to live without you
Baby I’m missin’ you-
Yeah baby I’m missin’ you (Hold note)

(Guy) Headin’ back to the place where we met
That old hangout spot with the broken swing set
Man those were the days
I wouldn’t have it any other way
Heyie Hey, yeah yeah

(Chorus) The longer I think about it
The harder it is to live without you
Baby I’m missin’ you-
Yeah Baby I’m missin’ you-------

(Girl) Feelin’ the way we felt
Knowin’ our love was real ohhhhh
Baby I’m missin’ you

(Guy) Yeah baby I’m missin you------------
(Girl) It’s been a long long time
(Guy) But I’m not gonna wait anymore
(Both) Because

(Pause)

(Girl) The longer I think about it
(Guy) The harder it is to live without you
(Both) Baby I’m missin’ you
Yeah Baby I’m missin you---

(Guy) So I’m headed home
we’re not gonna be apart anymore
It’s time for you to know
(Girl) Yeah it’s time for you to know----

(Both) Baby I’m missin’ you
Yeah Baby I’m missin’ you---

(Girl) I feel so good when I’m with you
(Guy) Yeah I feel so right
Baby I just wanna ---
(Girl) Hold you tight

(Both) Baby I’m missin’ you
Yeah baby I’m missin’ you----------- (Fades)

(Girl) It’s been a long time since we talked
(Guy) But that doesn’t mean I’m not thinkin’ of you (Slowly)

Soldier's Way

Written By: Jessica Pitcaithly

He told the little boy in the mirror
He wasn’t gonna grow to be inferior,
To anyone
Or anything,

His Momma and Daddy tried to encourage his dreamin’
Not knowin’ one day he’d be on a plane and leavin’,
It hit them hard
It hit him hard,

When he turned eighteen he was out the door and runnin’
Before they knew it he’d be pickin’ up his gun an’
Protecting them the way they protected him,

It’s always in the soldier’s heart
They were born with the courage right from the start
Determined in mind, with the will to save
We can’t tell you how it’s just the soldier’s way,

Months passed by slower than they wanted
A letter came with a shoestring and a sonnet
Tellin’ how he loves them
His momma teared and his daddy sighed
A relief from their fears was waved goodbye
But they still wanted him- to be safe again

It’s always in the soldier’s heart
They were born with the courage right from the start
Determined in mind, with the will to save
We can’t tell you how it’s just the soldier’s way,

His rank started going up higher and higher
Before he knew it his parents grew tired
But he stayed brave as he went home
Knowin’ he hadn’t been there in so long,

It’s always in the soldier’s heart
They were born with the courage right from the start
Determined in mind, with the will to save
We can’t tell you how it’s just the soldier’s way,

When they both passed away he grew lonely
They were the ones he loved, the only,

He tied that shoestring in a bow
Left it on the mantle of their window,

It’s always in the soldier’s heart
They were born with the courage right from the start
Determined in mind, with the will to save
He can’t tell you how- it was his parents way
The soldier’s way
