J-Soul

 J-Soul is comprised of some of the most entertaining and talented musicians from the Bay Area. Although the music covers a vast amount of styles from pop, jazz, funk, soul, and reggae, the band maintains a soulful factor that makes their sound so compelling. In addition to their high energy presence on stage, J-Soul provides a tight and well-polished, fun and funky sound, making them a great addition to your next party or live event. â€‹The musicians in this band have worked with some of the top-artists in the music business. J-Soul features band leader, bassist, and vocalist Jerry Kennedy who has performed, entertained, and led bands for the last 25 years. His partner in crime is Jeanne Geiger, one of the most recognizable and sought after trombonists in the Bay Area. Jay Lane of Ratdog, and formerly of Primus, brings his drumming expertise that gives this band a groove that’s a cut above the rest.  Dave Shul brings a powerful punch on guitar with his soul/rock style  after 15 years with Spearhead. Neil Castro, also on guitar, bringing his cool headed virtuosity to the fold. Daniel Casares on saxophone adds a flair and style to the band’s big sound.
