Bio

Joseph Gamache, a.k.a. JabberJaw, was born in Flint, Michigan on June 13, 1983. Always an entertainer, he would do things such as tell jokes in school, write comics, and write parodies of songs that the other students thought were hilarious.

When he was around 6 or 7, he was exposed to hip-hop music by his older sister. He fell in love with it. His earliest influences were N.W.A., LL Cool J, Snoop Dogg, Nas, and many others.

Jab started writing rhymes when he was 11, but he did not get serious until he moved out of his dad’s house and in with his mom at age 14. When Jab was 17, he and his mother moved to Flint, from the country. This is when he began doing shows, battling, and recording music. He was given the name “JabberJaw”, from his older brother, because he talked too much.

He would eventually win several rap contests, both on the radio and in clubs, including his 14 straight victories in freestyle battles at JB’s Nightclub.

Through friend and fellow emcee Deaji, Jab was introduced to Dave “dZone” Kelly. He was just the man who could take Jab to that next level. Kelly’s FrontStreet Records, a major player in the music scene in the 90s, was reborn and is now in full effect and ready to hit like a ton of bricks.

Jab’s debut LP album, “I Just Look Like This”, is a musical masterpiece with groundbreaking production, lyrics, and creativity rarely seen in music today. From the first track to the last, you will be captivated by the extraordinary production and amazed by the incredible presence displayed by JabberJaw on every song. The record is already a local sensation and is growing rapidly throughout the world. Be on the lookout – as Jab says “It’s the take over”!!
