"Splendid Ezine"

“Peddling an immaculately-rehearsed breed of FM-radio rock that dallies with metal, funk and reggae, Los Angeles quartet(sextet) Jabudah sound for all the world like an A&R rep's wet dream….the six-piece play like a devastating, tight-knit machine, swerving from funk - to hard-rock riffage and back again in a definably session-band manner, showcasing the kind of diversified, note-perfect musicality that can only be fully revealed by way of a Björk cover” - Allen Harrison

"LA Local Music Scene"

"An eccentric rock show put on in great form... A fun band to see." - Heather Crimson

Bio

the six members of this Los Angeles based outfit express their passion for music through a finely focused axis called Jabudah – a tight, heavy blend of funk, rock, R&B, and reggae that creates a memorable and positive musical force.

Jabudah's professional attitude and work ethic is best exemplified by the in-house production of their first full-length album. Released in December of 2003, "195i" features original material recorded, mixed, and produced by Jabudah. In addition to their studio achievements, Jabudah has recently completed their first music video for the song "Just Another Ending” in a creative collaboration with Director Dave Yarovesky (Jurassic 5, Good Charlotte, Eve 6, 30 Seconds to Mars). "195i" will also feature the music video as part of its enhanced features. Jabudah strives for longevity and will continue to work hard to achieve their musical goals.

Through a collaborative effort, Jabudah's music is written with a unique blend of individual influences and originality that allows the music to transcend a variety of musical genre's and styles. Often referred to as refined rock and concentrated funk, Jabudah writes in an ageless style with a dependable rhythm and solid grooves. Combined with a massive stage presence, Jabudah entices audiences with an engaging sound and a captivating live show.

Jabudah's unique blend of individual influences and styles has made them a viable option to open for a variety of different mainstream acts. They have opened for such nationals as George Clinton & Parliament Funkadelic, Fishbone, Jack Johnson, G. Love and Special Sauce, Pato Banton, Eek-a-Mouse, The Abyssinians, the legendary War, and even the Mighty Ducks of Anahiem. They have also shared the stage with some up-and-coming acts such as Strung Out, The Calling, and The Red West. Jabudah has headlined a number of Los Angeles' hottest clubs including The Key Club (Hollywood), The Knitting Factory (Hollywood), The El Rey Theater (Los Angeles), and The Whisky a Go Go (Hollywood). Other venues played: House of Blues - Foundation Room (Hollywood), the Troubadour (Hollywood), the Majestic Ventura Theater (Ventura), The Canyon Club (Agoura), Hard Rock Cafe (Beverly Center), The Malibu Inn (Malibu), The Coach House (Santa Barbara), and Blind Melons (San Diego). Jabudah has not so recently been crowned regional finalists of the Hard Rock's "A Shot at Cabo: Battle of the Bands 2002" in Los Angeles.
