JACE - Just Another Creative Expression.
Born and raised in Toronto Jace moved to Vancouver at the age of 16. He soon found himself falling into the hip-hop/rap scene. As a young artist Jace looked up to Tupac, Jay Z, Notorious B.I.G., DMX, Dre, Shady, and Ice Cube. However Jace found himself moulding his music and writing around Slim Shady, pushing the young artist to keep going no matter what good or bad. Jace is described as an old school, new school, type of MC; a technically diverse lyricist who brings the crowd with him on every track he performs. Jace thinks of hip-hop as his big outlet for lyrical therapeutic release. His current project which is his full length album “Choice of Clarity” is rumoured to be released in summer of 2011. Jace’s goal for this album is to have each song reach out to different individuals whether they listen to hip-hop or R&B. Along with his music career, Jace is also working on making Vancouver the base of the freshest and newest hip-hop and R&B artists by promoting this through his independent record label, Simply Put Records. With his new music career under his belt and all these goals, some ponder what Jace does when he isn’t writing, recording, or promoting. You can find Jace at local schools helping children and those in need. Having his dreams come true as a young artist Jace wants to give back to the city and the world that has given him all the people around because without music young Jace wouldn’t be where he is today. There’s an uncanny amount of dedication that artists show on a day to day basis with the mind set to never give up and pursue what is the most important; stay hungry and keep going.
