In recent weeks, we've been getting bigger names ... legends ... But this week, the Street League has left one another legend over and over and over and over again. So let me introduce Jace The Truth and his debut album, The Premise LP.
When we try to Google the name of Jace The Truth, we find not much… A young MC from Portal, Oregon. Tossed on a classic 90s sound. He believes that what he is doing right now, his creative work, can change even the direction that current hip-hop is moving. For him, hip-hop is a form of expression and a way of communicating. In fact, when we first saw the cover of it, somehow we thought it was going to be another bubbling next-generation MC + carrying and Purge movie ... We saw "Mhh na for curiosity you can listen" but as you can probably guess - content surprised. Hiding under the mask, this MC is able to rap, weave words into words, and he does it in the right direction. Yes - there is still room for improvement, but as a debutant, he has mastered it well.
As far as the musical side is concerned, Jace has collected a lot of everything from different beatmakers, including the name EL-P. The abundance of names add a distinctive eclectic touch to the album, but somehow it remains within one style. And most importantly, everything fits in and fits together.
The debut got really interesting, we seem to need to watch this name, it has everything we need and is moving in the right direction.

Jace The Truth is a Hip Hop artist, born and raised in Portland, OR. Brought up on a steady dose of artists like Nas, Jus Allah, Mac Dre, and Big Pun, he has had a wide variety of influences over a long period of time. He has used this unorthodox blend of classic boom bap, and new school funk to show a completely different, complex style of poetic yet raw music. After the release of his album, titled, The Premise LP, he gained a solid fan base in the US in cities like New York, and Philly. The album also got play over the radio waves in Switzerland, Lithuania, and Spain, with listings on vlogs like Robs Hip Hop Corner, and a Lithuanian station called GATVYS LYGA, and has had consistent plays since November 2018. Since July 21st Jace The Truth has been performing on stage every month, at venues such as the Vine & Sparrow (Sherwood,OR) and most recently The Roxy Theater (Longview, WA). His goal is to perfect his craft in all aspects wether it be songwriting, recording, mixing, mastering, and stage performances.
