After waking up from a coma, JAC Frizza was inspired to craft a new niche in popular music. With plans to dominate Hip Hop, his style combines unforgettable hooks, clever lyrics, and a youthful defiance that resembles most artists on your Top 10 list.

On April 6th, 2006 JAC Frizza arose from a coma. A near fatal car accident had rendered him with a broken neck, broken ribs, and collapsed lungs. A rumor had spread throughout Pensacola that he had died. Doctors told him that comatose patients have less than a 50% chance of waking up and some never fully recover when they wake up. Growing up, the odds were always against him so he just picked up where he left off with a new found passion. “I woke up to a room full of family and an empty bank account, all I kept thinking was if I would have died I would have left nothing behind, I realized that if I wanted this I was going to have to take it.”

After he was released from the hospital, JAC Frizza found that his thought process was completely different and his memory still wasn’t functioning properly. “I had to learn how to walk again and at first my mind was so messed up that I couldn’t make music,” he had to literally teach himself how to make music again.

He started his quest by building his own home studio and teaching himself how to mix and master his own music. He had no traditional background in music but growing up in a multiethnic household exposed him to a vast amount of different styles and genres of music. “My parents always had music playing… In one day you could expect to hear The Beegees, Tracy Chapman, Gloria Estefan, and Bob Marley.” His broad spectrum of influences has helped to shape his universal sound.

JAC Frizza brings a unique perspective to the world of Hip Hop. After moving from place to place his whole life, he eventually landed in Pensacola, Fl. It was there that he was influenced by a fusion of Hip Hop movements part New York, Atlanta, and Texas made. This rolling stone sees the world through diverse eyes and has a lot to say. “I make music about what I know or what I’ve seen. Hip Hop is about struggle, it’s life, it’s a competition between you and the world. The odds don’t matter to me because I made a winning hand out of the losing cards I was dealt in life.”

Most artists spend years trying to find their sound or where they fit into the industry. JAC Frizza moves like a seasoned veteran who has seven albums under their belt. “I’m Tupac on steroids, Jay-Z on ex, Biggie with TrimSpa, … I am the test.” His universal sound is most comparable to hip hop heavyweights like Kanye West, Jay-Z, and Drake. This legend in the making combines clever lyrics, infectious hooks, unforgettable harmonies, and futuristic production to create his revolutionary sound.

Every generation of music has its underdog who becomes the beacon that points to the where the future of music is headed. JAC Frizza’s debut album, “America’s Next Top Murderer”, focuses on his rise to the top and will position him on the forefront of the next wave of Icons. Stay tuned, the best is yet to come.
