Multi genre singer/songwriter Jack Slade grew up on near the shores of the Mississippi river just across from St Louis, MO. What separates him from other songwriters is the simplicity and pure, raw emotion that he conveys in every lyric he writes and sings. While only accompanied by an acoustic guitar, his vocals will take you away to another place and time.
Jack's early musical influences were 60's and 70's folk music and classic rock from Bob Dylan to Led Zepplin. In his later teens, he was struck by the beauty of worship music in a local church in St Louis. Jack has been writing songs since 1989 and in the last 4 years his influences have included Eddie Vedder, Ray Lamontagne, Daughter, Kaleo, among many other new songwriters.
Jack has played in many songwriter rounds in Nashville , TN and at many places from Florida to Minnesota.
At present, He is writing many more new songs and is hoping to release a new CD sometime this year. Jack's CD entitled "BEAUTIFUL" can be found on iTunes, Amazon, or on his website.
