"A new band with DIY attitude and raw power"

Something to blow out the cobwebs of 2015. Jackals Rose released their thunderous debut single, 'All For You' in October last year, and are in the midst of a DIY campaign to see their next single 'D.I.D' make an even bigger noise on the London music scene, and beyond!

A five-piece British indie-rock band, made up of two brothers and three friends, who grew up in a small British seaside town, Jackals Rose have already earned a reputation for their powerful live sets. Despite upsetting some music industry people along the way (never trust a band that hasn't upset somebody) they scored some great gigs, including support slots with our pals Trampolene, and a turn at This Feeling towards the end of last year.

Tapping in to the same Brit-punk energised vein of indie revival that has fed bands such as Trampolene, Pretty Vicious and Dexters so well in recent months, Jackals Rose have turned down various management offers, instead choosing to promote and manage themselves through their own inventiveness, hard work and talent.

Until the release of 'D.I.D' (which as far as we can tell stands for Devil In Disguise and is produced by Placebo touring guitarist Nick Gavrilovic) you can acquaint yourself with 'All For You', and its raw pogo inducing energy.

"Ones To Watch"

Hailing from Essex, Jackals Rose are bursting into the forefront of new music with their exciting brand of fuzz rock.

It’s a tricky thing to pull off – a decent fuzz sound, that is – and it seems bands often struggle to judge how much fuzz is too much fuzz; knowing when it’s time to cut down on the reverb and feedback, and whether the whirly guitars are just that bit too whirly, seems to be a fine art that many fail to conquer. Yet Jackals Rose have it down to a tee, it seems, and their efforts aren’t going unnoticed. Their debut single ‘All For You’ – which displays their ability to make admirably powerful, head-bang inducing, psychedelic fuzz sounds – has already racked up almost 8,000 views on YouTube, and the video is a perfect accompaniment.

Jackals Rose’s sound is arguably far beyond what you’d expect from a band releasing their debut single. Though their music is quite chaotic in its nature, there’s a definite level of control to what they do – a sort of maturity that never falls into the zone of being contrived or pretentious, but rather proves just how dedicated and talented they are.

Take a tip from everyone who’s discovered these guys already, and get on board with Jackals Rose. - Gig Slutz
