Jack-N-Jill/Jack and Jill

BandRockAmericana

Jack-N-Jill is best described as a unique rock duo who can simulate a full band experience. They play a well balanced mix of classic to current rock. Since there start, in the summer of 2006, Jack-N-Jill has proven themselves in the Chicagoland area where they were voted best duo of 2006!

Biography

What sets Jack-N-Jill apart from other duo's is there abiality to simulate a full band experience with only two musicians. By using studio quality pre-recorded backround tracks and then adding live guitar and vocals coupled with a professional stage look and dynamic performance, Jack-N-Jill has taken the art of live entertainment to the next level.

It's very rare to find a band that can fit into the smallest of local town bars such as Murphy's Pub in Orland Park and also be able to rock a large music venue like 115 Bourbon Street in Merrionette Park or even major summer fests like Plainfield Fest and Taste of Lombard without needing to change format. There technical forthought and song selection is key in making this diversity possible.

Song selection is one of most important parts of a bands success and Jack-N-Jill has definately keyed in on some of the greatest songs ever writen. It's hard to find anyone in an audience that doesn't enjoy songs from artists like John Mellencamp, Van Morrisson, The Beatles, Janis Joplin, Melissa Etheridge, Jorney, CCR, Jack Johnson, Counting Crows, The Cars, Sarah McLaughlin, Matchbox 20, Cracker, Led Zeppelin, Jefferson Airplane, Paul Simon and many others musical masters from the 1960's through today.

Along with playing close to 100 shows since there beginning in the summer of 2006 Jack-N-Jill were recently declared "Best Duo of 2006" by Chicago area entertainment magazine, Suburban Nitelife. Over 12,000 people registered to vote for there favorites and voted Jack-N-Jill "Best Duo" and also voted Rick Lisak (Lead Guitar and Vocals) "Best Male Front" for 2006!

It's easy to see that Jack-N-Jill is one of the most unique cover bands to come out of the Chicagoland area in the last year or so. Not only do they provide there audience with great sounding timeless music and visual stimulation but you won't find another act like them anywhere in the area. A Jack-N-Jill show is not something you forget about the next day, week or month. You'll try to describe it to your friends but the only thing you'll be able to say is "You gotta see these guys".
