From the heart of the Midwest, one band stands above the rest with an upbeat, feel good sound ...Jackboot Suicide. Jackboot Suicide has created their own kind of magic by redefining their own unique sound. Their music is ever-changing, always original and definitely fresh!
Jackboot Suicide is comprised of four dynamic, distinct and very talented musicians. The band includes: Mike Driscoll, master of powerhouse vocals that range from aggressive and comanding to melodic and harmonious. Driscoll's sound comes from his diverse musical influences and hard work. His style combines his love of harder music (Metallica, Nine Inch Nails and Primus) with the sound of more traditional rock bands (Creedence Clearwater Revival) and the diversity of current musical legends (Beastie Boys). While Driscoll previously enjoyed success with the popular regional band Storyteller, he has found immense satisfaction with the uniqueness and diversity of Jackboot Suicide.
Lead Guitarist Dale Brink's intricate guitar stylings gives Jackboot Suicide a freshness and uniqueness. His love of driving guitar stylists (Jimmi Hendrix, Sex Pistols and Suicide Machines) and catchy guitar stylings of modern bands (Red Hot Chili Peppers and Violent Femmes) have inspired his own one-of-a-kind sound. Previously performing with regional band BIL-EE-ROO-BIN, Brink says Jackboot Suicide has inspired him to reach new musical heights. "It is Jackboot Suicide's goal to make creative, long lasting music which everyone will enjoy," he says. "With this dynamic combination, we convert even the most die-hard skeptics."
Chandler "The Prophet" Jansen, Jackboot Suicide's stylistic drummer, provides the underlying driving beat that classifies their uncanny sound. Jansen's drumming style comes from his love of a variety of drumming legends. His influences range from the driving sounds of modern rock (Brain from Primus, Dr. Chubb of the Misfits and P.O.D.) to the funk based sounds of Sheila E (Prince and the Revolution). While Jansen has performed with jam bands, punk bands and rock bands, he has found his niche with Jackboot Suicide.
The line-up would not be complete without bassist extraordinaire Brandon "B" Webb (aka Dr. Webb). His aggressive bass lines and original styling adds dimension and depth to Jackboot Suicide's mix. His unique sound has been developed and influenced by his love of legendary and timeless intense music (Led Zeppelin, Pink Floyd, Black Sabbath and Primus). Dr. Webb also adds to Jackboot Suicide's lighter side with his on-stage antics and commanding stage presence.
