Bio
Jack Byron is a singer-songwriter from Chicago, IL. A self taught musician, Jack's musical heroes range from Van Morrison, Bob Dylan, Hank Williams, Tom Petty, the Beatles, Jack Johnson, and John Mayer. He picked up the guitar and piano in high school and wrote his first song at 17 and has been honing his craft ever since. With an affinity for writing about the simple joys and struggles of your everyday man and woman, he found himself drawn towards the Folk/Americana genre, with its rich musical heritage and storytelling tendencies. With songs ranging from topics such as relationships, travel, country living, American landscapes, love, strife, and fun times with friends and loved ones, Jack Byron delivers the essence of true Americana in a truly refreshing and unique way. According to the Americana Music Association, American music is contemporary music that incorporates elements of various mostly acoustic American roots music styles, including country, roots-rock, folk and bluegrass resulting in a distinctive roots-oriented sound that lives in a world apart from the pure forms of the genres upon which it may draw, and that is exactly the kind of artist Jack Byron is. Drawing from this wide palette of music, Jack Byron has managed to take these ingredients and create a sound that is all his own and completely new.
