Jacked

BandAlternativeRock

Younger than the Arctic Monkeys, more charming than Mando Diao, more melodic than The Killers and weirder than Hot Hot Heat: Jacked from Hungary plays a perfect mixture of everything you loved in the 21st century.

Biography

Formed in Szekesfehervar, in 2004 (all members were 14-15 years old by that time), Jacked started playing punkrock covers on local events. There have been a few member changes: first, Gabor started playing the bass for the band, and, in 2005 Tamas joined the team to do the lead vocals. Meanwhile, the band's style changed a lot, too. They stopped playing covers, and started out in another direction, writing their own songs, which could probably be put in the indie rock category.
In June 2006, Jacked brought out its first demo, Gloria EP with four songs on it: Fault of My Life, Careless Love, These Days and Gloria. By the time the EP was released, the band played it's first show in Budapest, the Capital of Hungary. Since then Jacked has been invited to play with Hungary's famous popbands, like Heaven Street Seven, The Moog or 30Y.
In November 2006 the band recorded another two songs, Alive But Dead and Comforting Lies, which became the Come What May EP.
Jacked are currently working on their debut LP, due out this fall.
