"Thanks for a Great Perfromance"

Their Relay for Life event is a walk around a designated track in which each lap raises money for the provention, Curing, and spreading of awareness of Cancer. Jack Fuller has performed for them 3 times so far. He enjoys the event and is so happy his art could contribute to this great cause.

July 28, 2008

Mr. Fuller:
I am writing to you on behalf of the American Cancer Society’s (ACS) Relay for Life in Harlem, Activities and Entertainment Committee. This letter is to thank you for your performance. You brought a new sound to our Relay.

Your presence at the Harlem Relay for Life event held on Saturday, July 12, 2008 was greatly appreciated and helped the events to be more successful.

Again, the Harlem Relay for Life’s goal is to unify the community in the remembrance of cancer victims, celebration of survivors, and as an act of declaration of support for the fight against cancer on all levels.

Together we can make a difference in the fight against cancer. We look forward to working with you in the future.

Bio

Jack Fuller is a Harlem native. As a child he would take songs and rewrite lyrics. He's been singing since forever but received classical voice training at the age of 14 from the world renowned Harlem School of the Arts, while also attending Fiorello H. LaGuardia HS. (the "Fame" School). During High School he worked on his tone, his ear, his 4 octave and a perfect 5th range, his agility, and letting his heart go so he can be vulnerable and honest for his audience. Jack has lyrics that will rally the people to rise up and fight for their rights and songs to sooth the soul and make you want to fall in love with melodies to match. His voice fits so seamlessly and effortlessly into each lyric and and style of his material, but he is no stranger to ripping a cover in half.

For performances he brings people together to sing and play and anyone who has is affectionately and professionally known as J.F.'s Crew. There are a few members of J.F's Crew that have always played for Jack. Veterans, if you will. Dallisha Thomas started as his background vocalist, then picked up a bass and found where home really was. Sandra Miller, an amazing actress and musical theatre singer, found other refuge in neo-soul through the band. Jack is forever grateful to anyone who has and will play for him.

Jack grew up listening to the usual greats. Luther Vandross, Stevie Wonder, Nat King Cole, B.B. King, Louis Armstrong, Ella Fitzgerald, Aretha Franklin, Rachelle Ferrell, Rahsaan Patterson Maxwell, Bilal, D'angelo etc. Yet people are usually reluctant to compare him to anyone. However, when prodded they will say, "Take Erykah Badu, Jill Scott, Rahsaan Patterson, Bilal, and Maxwell, mix their DNA, and you'll get Jack!" Jack couldn't be happier with such endorsements. He hopes his message of "Spreading love through the Truth" gets heard and touches the hearts of those who feel their own truth through his music.
