Jackie Kashian

Jackie Kashian speaks highly of herself in the third person. She is the youngest of six children and was raised by wolves. Wolves that meant well and did their best.

In 1985, Jackie got drunk and heckled Sam Kinison in Madison, Wisconsin. She was told, by management, that open mike night was on Sundays. Unlikely that a tale begun so charmingly would end well, but here we are, a little more into the story and no jail time!

Jackie has been a national touring comic for over 10 years. She has appeared on NBC, VH1, and A&E (Comedy on the Road - back in the 1700's). She just performed at the Melbourne (Australia) International Comedy Festival (2004) making her world comedy debut. Other prestigious festivals she's been invited to, include: the HBO Comedy Arts Festival in Aspen, Bumbershoot Arts Festival in Seattle and the Just for Laughs Festival in Montreal.

Jackie has a Half Hour Special for Comedy Central and has appeared on several stand-up shows including NBC’s Late Friday and Comedy Central’s Premium Blend. She has just released her first CD, "Cake is Not My Downfall."

Last year, the Minneapolis Star Tribune wrote the nicest thing, "Jackie Kashian's comedy is that rare, wonderful combination: smart and funny."

Jackie has also been on several panel shows. VH1's "The List" and Comedy Central's "Tough Crowd." Jackie's only television acting was as an an airport cop who busted Jim Dial with a big bag of pot on Murphy Brown, but she takes classes and stuff so as to be prepared.
