All the members of Jack-Knife have a vast variety of influences including but not limited to Van Halen, Hank Williams Jr., Pink Floyd, The Grateful Dead and Tool. All the members grew up in Los Alamos NM, The own most famous for building the first atomic bombs. Bootlegger

Written By: Adair, Carothers, Hemsing, Houlton, Seitz, 2008

Grandaddy was a bootlegger,
earned his livin makin shine,
he'd load it up in his hot rod,
then he'd drive it across state lines,
never had a 9 to 5 too busy cookin rye,
stil farmin was all he knew and that's how the family survived.
Chorus
He put the lightnin in the bottle,
he load it up and hit the throttle,
big oak thumper in the hollow,
that's how a bootlegger makes the dollar.

Roll around the speakeasy,
pull around the back,
slip some money to the mayor,
so the lights all stay black.
Chorus

Grandaddy was a bootlegger,
earned his livin makin shine,
the road is filled with treatrous men and somebody dropped the dime,
one day the law came down and grandaddy saw the sign,
ten men dead from grandaddy now he's payin his crime.
Chorus

Gypsy On the Run

Written By: James Carothers, Adam Houlton, Jerry Adair

Been on the trail for 14 daysGot my Granddaddy’s old .45
Lost myself on the road
It’s a wonder I’m still alive
With a fifth in
hand and a hundred grand I’ll be
riding out the sun I’m not afraid, I’ve got it madeI’m just a gypsy on the run
With a
Scruffy beard and my old blue
jeansI got a high price on my
headStaying low, with my cash in
towPraying I don’t end up
deadChorusWith a fifth in hand
and a hundred grandI’ll be
riding out the sunI’m not
afraid, I’ve got it made I’m just a gypsy on the run

Rather Walk Alone

Written By: Adam Houlton, James Carother, Dan Seitz

I am the joker,
I am the fool,I am the rebel
breaking all your silly rulesI
am the liar, I am the thiefI am
the changing man turning over a
new leafChorusI’m feeling
tired, and I feel usedI’m
feeling burned out, and I got the
bluesI feel like crying, but
it’s no useI’d rather walk alone
than walk this road with
youVerseI’ve seen the faces,
I’ve lived the dreamI’ve seen
the places and everything in
between I’ve seen the glory,
I’ve seen the shameI’ve seen the
kind of friends that don’t even
know my
nameSoloVerseI’ve been
the joker, I’ve been the
fool,I’ve been the rebel
breaking all your silly
rulesI’ve been the liar, I’ve
been the thiefI’ve been the
changing man turning over a new
leafChorusI’m feeling tired,
and I feel usedI’m feeling
burned out, and I got the bluesI
feel like crying, but it’s no
useI’d rather walk alone than
walk this road with you
