Bio

Jack of all Trades is a Seattle rock band formed by the two childhood friends, Nick Arthun and John Coy. Growing up in northern Idaho, Johnny and Nick were in and out of bands throughout their adolescence, and in 2009 they met up in Seattle to form a solid project. Soon after, they put up an ad looking for a drummer; after a few months of writing what came to be some of the early Jack of All Trades material, they found the drummer they were looking for.
Aaron Danneman met Nick in late 2009; the same day that Nick had placed his ad looking for a drummer, Aaron put up an ad of his own for few like-minded musicians. After answering each other’s ads and getting together for a jam, Aaron joined the soon-to-be Jack of all Trades. Now, with a drummer, the band’s sound began to solidify and the group started looking for a bass player.
Greg Poppe moved to Seattle in September of 2009; he spent a few months trying out different bands while Johnny, Nick, and Aaron spent the same time auditioning bassists. By February 2010 Greg had answered an ad that Aaron posted, and the complete lineup for Jack of all Trades was in place.
Together the four of them produce a sound best described as post-grunge rock and roll. Aaron, growing up in the 90’s in the Pacific Northwest, has a strong hard rock and metal influence that holds the power of the band. John and Nick also have influences in metal and hard rock, though their love for blues is a staple in their sound. As the bassist, Greg brings a mixture of classic rock and grunge to the table that glues the sound together.
As of now, Jack of all Trades has released a single and continues to build their name on the circuit in Seattle. The band plans to continue to produce music that people will enjoy, with hopes of touring and someday making a life of it.
