Bio
Jack Pontes is a graduate of York University’s Bachelor of Fine Arts Program. He has been teaching visual arts at Merit Academy for over ten years and currently runs their summer program. He has written several musical plays including, “Noah and the Ark”, a production, which debuted two years ago in North York. His poetry, “The Bull Fight” has been featured as an example of lyric poetry on Yahoo Glue and many of his songs can be seen on his You Tube channel. He has had many art exhibitions including his most recent showing at the Fiorano Art Gallery in Woodbridge. In 2007 he completed a large scale forty-five meter long mural on the eastern shore of Maia, Sao Miguel, Portugal commissioned by the municipality of the Ribeira Grande.
