Jack Raymond Group

Guitarist Jack Raymond, a Bay Area native, began playing the guitar at the age of nine. Starting out playing in local bands, he soon found himself working professionally by the age of sixteen. After getting involved in his high school's jazz ensemble he began to develop a shift in musical style towards contemporary jazz. While in college, he performed with the highly acclaimed San Diego State University Jazz Ensemble.
Returning to the Bay Area, Jack worked for several years in the club and hotel circuit with a variety of musical groups. His ability to adapt to just about any musical style allowed him to keep busy and stay in demand as a local sideman. He has performed with a broad array of musicians over recent years ranging from smooth jazz pianist David Benoit to legendary drummer the late Louie Bellson and others. Artists like Larry Carlton, Robben Ford, Lee Ritenour, Pat Metheny, Earl Klugh, Peter White and many others are cited as some of his major influences.
As a composer and performer, Jack incorporates a smooth blend of jazz, Latin, blues and more than a little funkiness to create his own sound. Surrounded with his band comprised of some of the Bay Area’s most talented and in-demand musicians, the Jack Raymond Group is well worth checking out.
