Jackson Whalan is a multi-talented lyricist, producer and DJ (Brooklyn, NY). He began creating original hip-hop at the early age of 12 as a teenager growing up in Berkshire County, MA. His life changed dramatically when he realized that rapping and producing was to be his way of transforming personal struggle into a powerful artform. At age 24, Jackson continues going strong with an abundance of artistic experience informing his future. Over a short length of time, Jackson has founded the live band Technicolor Lenses, performed at The United Nations Headquarters on multiple occasions, engineered in recording studios, and has opened for inspirations such as Slick Rick, Killah Priest (Wu Tang), J Rocc, Borahm Lee (Break Science), and Blockhead to name just a few. He has performed at a slue of NYC venues and music festivals on the east coast, and has toured throughout California (December 2014). He has released a large catalogue of music under his solo project and with his band. His lyrics and beats can be found on many recordings with talented producers and friends. Jackson collaborates with established artists such as cellist Dave Eggar, Mr. Lif (guest mc for Thievery Corporation), JNTHN STEIN (Team Supreme), Jo Jo Mayer & Nerve, Space Jesus, and many, many more. Jackson Whalan’s commitment to hip-hop as a way of life drives him to work hard expanding his passion, allowing him to share his gifts with people around the world, creating joyful moments for his audiences in a DJ/Rap format, which usually includes special guests.
