J-MAC is made up of 35 of Jacksonville, Florida's most talented vocalists between the ages of 14-21.
The groups cultural diversity has everything to do with its unique and infectious sound and style.
It also has an unusually high number of solo performers which is rare in an ensemble this size.
From Memphis to Motown, this group does it all, including a lot of contemporary gospel and original music.
JMAC performs in a concert format that includes equal sets of spirituals, gospel, patriotic and contemporary music.
The group also does complete contemporary shows such as Hitsville: Motown Forever, The Rhythm & the Blues, The Journey, To Philly with Love, On Broadway etc.
Native New York City veteran composer/producer Deborah McDuffie is the founder and Artistic Director of the ensemble.
J-MAC performs everything from Motown to advanced classical repertoire and music of other cultures. Its specialty however, is contemporary gospel.
Jacksonville Mass Choir is the vocal group sound of the future.
