Bio

Jacob Lee grew up in a small town in California, surrounded by mountains and lakes. His first few years were spent hiking, fishing, camping, and swimming. At the age of 12 he decided to follow in his mother and father's footsteps and learn how to play the guitar. So he took one of his father's guitars, locked himself in his room with a folder full of church music and a chord dictionary, and after about five hours of doing so considered himself a guitar player.

Jacob began getting together with a few friends from school and playing at coffee shop by the eighth grade. When high school hit he was invited to play on the youth group worship team for the church. Playing there for his high school years and rotating through various punk and hardcore bands, Jacob decided to graduate and move on.

Where did Jacob move on to? Why, the same place that half of the population of this small, mountainous town moves on to, Redding, California. With this being his new home, Jacob continued writing music. Only, his new music leaned more towards the acoustic feel. Jacob again sang in various hardcore bands while living in Redding, but remained an acoustic songwriter. After about three years in Redding, Jacob decided to attend the School of Ministry at his church. Jacob immediately joined the worship team and began playing music again. This is where Jacob would meet Tyler Sjolander and Brock Human.

Spending quite a bit of time chatting music with these men, Jacob was inspired to write some more music. So Jacob began writing songs again, only, leaning more towards the folky feel of things. After playing these songs for a few friends and realizing that they were actually good songs, Jacob decided that it was his time to put out an album of his own.

Jacob got ahold of his friend Brock, who was pursuing a career in the audio engineering industry and began talking shop. With the help of Brock, and the prodding of a few others, Jacob decided to go into the studio in February 2006 and begin recording.

The recording process went as smooth as ever with Brock Human and Simon Palma engineering. Doors started opening left and right as the album started drawing to a close. People that Jacob didn't even know where pretty much knocking on his door and trying to find out when his project would be finished.

So on April 6th, 2006, 'The Georgia EP' was finally released and constantly rotated through hundreds of stereos across Redding. Two days after, he played his first show.

This show was a battle of the bands and Jacob was surprised at the response, seeing that he got third place! The first place band, Constancy, took a liking to Jacob and started inviting him to play shows with them. Also, a few of the fans approached him with show opportunities.

Which brings us to now. Opportunities are opening up left and right. DJs are playing Jacob's songs on the radio, people are e-mailing and asking him to go and play shows in their town. Now Jacob is in the process of booking an August tour and awaiting the arrival of his first batch of t-shirts. Things just keep falling in place for Jacob Lee. Help things fall even more into place and buy his shirts, buttons, t-shirts, cds, and even book a show for him! Jacob is always talking about his fans and how much he loves them, so do him a favor and talk to him, he loves it! That's it for now....
