Jacob's Dream

Art can be ifluenced by the age in which the artist lives but the influence of the age should not dominate or dictate to the artist. Drawing from classical music and classic metal bands of the past Jacobs Dream fuse a fresh approach and passion with elements that have become the pillars of heavy metal.

Formed in the mid-90s, Jacob’s Dream plunged into the world of Melodic Metal, releasing an Indy Self-titled demo. They shopped this demo to Metal Blade Records, which landed them a deal. In 2000 Metal Blade released their debut Self-titled recording. With a very well received recording came a European tour with Brainstorm and Armored Saint and playing both the Bang Your Head and Wacken Festivals. Then came the more successful recording “Theater of War”. Here the production was beefed up making an even better impression in the world of Metal. Not long after the release of “Theater of War”, David Taylor, the lead singer decided to move on along with a few other members. That left a void in the band until… 2003, Chaz Bond, the lead singer of Biogenesis, agreed to fill the position. With the addition of other new members, now they are complete, ready to rock the world with their brand new tunes and a new zeal. Their fourth release “Drama of the Ages” has been put out on Metal Blade Records.
