Jacqueline Blouin and Band

Singer/Songwriter

Confident, charming and pretty, with an unmistakable timbre in her voice, Jacqueline Suzanne Blouin is highly regarded as a promising singer/songwriter. Born in Germany on the 26th of July 1986, she has been living in Switzerland since the beginning of the nineties.

At the age of five, Jacqueline wanted to play the piano but, since her fingers were too small, she decided to learn the violin instead. When she was seven, she became a member of the well known children’s musical school Metzenthin’s in Zurich. Her vocal training began at the age of nine with the famous Russian opera singer Nelly Sher. Jacqueline began to write her first songs when she was just 12 years old, becoming more and more attracted to rock music. Due to her interest in rock music, she decided to expand her musical repertoire and take singing lessons in pop, rock and soul, as well as tuition in musical theory and composition. Jacqueline now composes her songs using the piano and guitar.

Some of Jacqueline’s first performances were at the age of eight, when she played Liza Minnelli in Robinsons Club’s Musical Show (incl. video footage which she today prefers not to show!).These reflect her early drive to perform on stage, as well as her love for music. Whether on TV, or doing a live performance, in front of a small gathering or a large audience of 5,000 people, with or without her band, Jacqueline Blouin is convincing “on stage”.

The name Blouin illustrates her link to her Canadian origin and to her deceased Canadian grandfather, Louis Blouin. Jacqueline not only has a cosmopolitan family, she also has a cosmopolitan attitude when it comes to the production of her own original songs. Since April 2004, when she caught the attention of a management and production agency, her songs have been, and still are, produced by her record label, oliver m.usic inc., USA, in cooperation with partners worldwide.

After completing school in 2005, Jacqueline decided to further her acting skills by moving to Los Angeles (her favourite city!).She studied at the famous Lee Strasberg Theatre and Film Institute. The time in Los Angeles was very inspiring for her and made her grow both personally and as an artist.

In 2006 Jacqueline auditioned for a place in the European Theatre Institute, based in Berlin and was accepted. So, she packed her bags again in September and moved to Germany’s capital on her own, to study acting and music. Jacqueline is also a successful model in both Switzerland and Germany and has participated in several well known campaigns.

Since finding her perfect production team and a great band, Jacqueline is enjoying notable musical successes:

January 2006: Songplacement agreement at MIDEM with www.europacorp.com

September 2006: The Song “Feel Again” became an Airplay-Hit in Latvia and entered on week 40, 2006 (Sept 25 - Oct 1) at 30-th position on Latvian Airplay Top 50 - third highest new entry position. In week 41 "FEEL AGAIN" was #25 and remained for several weeks in the Top 50. “Feel Again” was voted to #1 on Kurzemes FM Listener-Charts, which was followed by media attention and live appearances in Latvia, accompanied by TV and magazines such as POPCORN.

November 2006: Jacqueline flew to Latvia again and produced her next radio single “Thorn In My Side”in teamwork with www.aktivmusic.lv”. She was accompanied by the magazine POPCORN

December 2006: “Thorn In My Side” entered the Airplay-Top 50, reached #24 and was still in the Top 50 in February. The second single reached #1 on Kurzemes Fm again!

February 2007: Jacqueline performed a duet with the Malaysian artist JiN Jacqueline wrote the lyrics and sang in English, whilst JiN sang in Mandarin.
