Jacqui Haggerty

Multi-instrumentalist Jacqui Haggerty has been making a footprint on the Greensboro music scene in the recent year through a number of eclectic projects. One of her bands, called Jacqui and the Woodsides, has found success in the pop/americana realm, appearing on the WFMY local news morning show and playing regularly at popular venues in Greensboro. Her newest project features the same repertoire, this time translated through the beautiful arrangements of strings, her songs adorned with lulling violin and bowing upright bass lines. Her songcraft ranges from the head-bobbing, light-hearted pop song to the introspective, heart-breaking love ballad. Haggerty writes such a vast collection of music that she is sure to find musical connection in almost anyone, and is sure to break out of the local music scene onto a bigger canvas soon.
