Jade Vine is a neo-soul/indie jazz band hailing from Austin, Texas. Founded by lyricist/lead singer Kat Gualy and bassist Kinseli Jazz Baricuatro, the band has slowly grown from a simplistic duo to a full dynamic band with Alex Duck on drums, Caitie Butterworth on alto sax, and Stacie Agnew on keys. With airy background vocals, triplet-syncopated rhythms, and buttery melodies, the influences of bands such as Hiatus Kaiyote and Moonchild is prevalent in the key musical elements of Jade Vine. Gualy’s smooth, soulful vocals are accompanied by lyrics of nature, spirit, and serenity, a dominant theme in Jade Vine’s music. “Jade Vine is more than just making music for us.
