Jade Gisselle

Jade Gisselle was born Jade Gisselle Parks on November 18,1986. She was born and raised in "The City of Roses" better known as Pasadena, California. The middle child, Jade names her older sister Winter among her primary influences and inspirations. Jade began to sing in the church choir at Refuge Christian Center Community Church in Pasadena,CA at the age of 8. She began to write lyrics at the age of 14 around the same time when she re-located to the Antelope Valley, California which at the time was a desolate city compared to the fast paced city. In 2002 Jade's life took a horrible turn which led her into deep depression and delirium. Her mother, Carolyn died of multiple illnesses at age 42. Jade was 16 years old. Jade ceased to write more lyrics until the age of 18. She began writing with and for local artists as well as for fellow classmates in college and family projects. Jade's single "Private" began to circulate throughout the Antelope Valley when local dj's released it. Since, Jade has been independantly writing and recording on solo projects as well as for other local artists. She has also enjoyed entering motherhood. Jade states, "After my mother passed away I knew what I had to do. Especially me being a single mom. My mother was a singer, a nurse, and generally a hard worker. My sister is an amazing mother and an unbelievable singer, my aunts are singers, my grandmother is a singer, so I know what I need to do to make my mother proud. It runs through my blood. This is her legac but his is my life, my story."
