Every once and a while, a group of guys get together, destined for great things. The Jadi Norris Band is one such group. Taking the music of their influences----the Eagles, Lonestar, stevie ray vaughan, journey, charlie daniels, and keith urban-- the Jadi Norris Band crafts a rocking, harmony-filled progressive country that is still refreshingly lyrically grounded. Jadi Norris swaps between personalities, one moment singing as the "Workin' Man", reflecting his southern blue collar roots. The next moment his voice rings with heartache, beautiful and aching, on "Bottom of my Heart".
The Live shows are far from the norm of the stereo-typical "country" show. The bands unbridled enthusiasm and energy leaves no one sitting, even causing one unnamed national act that JNB opened for to remark, "those guys make you work to catch up. don't they?" The skills of these young men are readily apparent--with arrangements and chops impress both musician and layman alike. No one is bored at a JNB show . Bringing the crowd alive is a remarkable talent of JNB, probably why they were the choice to open shows throughout southern arizona all of 2001.
