Biography

“We are confident that you will be as excited as we are by the new material we have created over the last year or so”. These are the positive words of Dave Skelton, lead vocalist of Jaga, as he expressed his satisfaction at the completion of the first demo recordings from this embryonic Irish band.

With an aspiration to take their music to a global audience, Jaga have skilfully crafted a repertoire of powerful and imaginative songs with a mixture of melancholic and uplifting melodies that are guaranteed to inspire your every emotion.
Band members Liam, Barry, Mack, Paul and Dave bring with them musical influences from every corner of the music spectrum.

After initial rehearsals a clear pattern of strong guitar and vocal melodies together with unmistakably uplifting choruses began to emerge. As the bass and drums seamlessly drew everything together the band felt that they were creating something special.

Already their first recordings have received extremely positive feedback from critics and record companies alike, so much so that at least one major record label have been in personal contact with the hope of moving discussions forward to a contractual level.

Make sure to catch up with the guys at a forthcoming gig. Check out www.jaga.ie for dates, downloads and information.

Lyrics

Oxygen

Written By: Skelton, Martin

I only know that I need you to survive,
to attempt to go without won't enter my mind.
I only know, to resrict is to deprive, so expect to go without,
and keep it inside,
So long as we can take it, we go on until we make it.
You are my Oxygen, you are my air my skin,
You are my Oxygen, sometimes it's hard to breadthe.
We only go where we can to get along,
though the thoughts of coming up keep me going on.
So long as we can take it, we go on until we make it.
You are my Oxygen, you are my air my skin,
You are my Oxygen, sometimes it's hard to breadthe.
I only know, oh i only know, i only know I need to breadthe
You are my Oxygen, you are my air my skin,
You are my Oxygen, sometimes it's hard to breadthe.

Satellite

Written By: Dave Skelton

Forget all your sins, open the door and let the night in.
A room full of stars, temperature's falling, no ordinary skin could keep you warm.

It takes a little patience to get it right, it takes a little sacrifice, it takes a shoulder on which to cry, I always want just

Enough to lift you up,
Enough, shine from above,
You're my Satellite.

Follow your nose through all the times when you think that you're lost.
Look for a light, a fire-fly shows you the way to get in, and keep you warm.

It takes a little patience to get it right, it takes a little sacrifice, it takes a shoulder on which to cry, I always want just

Enough to lift you up,
Enough, shine from above,
You're my Satellite.
My satellite, you shine from above just
Enough to lift you up,
Enough, shine from above,
You're my Satellite, my satellite,
You're my satellite, my satellite you shine from above
