RE: JAGUA

I first encountered Jag in 2004…..just another kid trying to slide me a home made demo tape. But this time it was different. I had a listen, and to my surprise the music was REALLY GOOD!

I’ve continued to monitor Jag’s progress. I’m convinced, with the right “push”, he will be all over the radio by this time next year.

Check it out!

Bio

A direct descendent of one of the Sikh Gurus of India, Jagua Arneja was born in Vancouver with music in his blood. His earliest memories include reciting Hymns and chanting religious songs that were taught to him with great passion and commitment from his grandmother. His destiny in music was predetermined by the first grade. Jagua has been writing, recording and performing ever since he can remember. "There is no better feeling in this world to me, than the process of completing a song from scratch, and then being able to express those ideas to an audience." Jagua is a natural, blessed with the gift of catchy melodies, creative ideas, intelligent song structure, and musical insight. His dynamic voice leaves the soul and mind echoing with catchy hooks from personal experiences. Jagua’s songs are as colorful as the life he has lived thus far. He has accomplished the rare task of creating a new genre where reggae, pop, rock, and Indian music, all combine into something refreshing and timeless. He has written songs and performed at major events with the likes of Damian Marley, K'naan, Rishi Rich, Bally Sagoo, Apache Indian, Swollen Members, Chin Injeti, as well as many others . Jagua has had several videos on Much Music, helping to break the barriers between Indian and Mainstream. Jagua recently played a crowd of over 10,000 screaming fans at Dundas Square in Toronto this Summer for RBC Desifest. He is now working in the studio and preparing for future shows....
