"Live @ Smother Party"

"The delicious JaguarJones return to take the mantle of the finest indie rock band in the northwest. Incorporating early Blur's knack for socially adroit, erudite lyrics and edgy, imminently danceable rock, their stiletto-sharp tunes and euphoric choruses are a perfect reason to get out and celebrate the final days of our civilizations hacienda.."

"Aesteticka Promotions"

"We're over the moon to bring you a slot from one of our newest finds, Jaguar Jones. Imminently danceable as well as emotionally super-charged, if these boys' tunes don't draw you onto the dancefloor, overflowing with existential euphoria, then you're probably dead; they promise an incredibly fresh sound with an even fresher live show. A vote for Jaguar Jones is a vote for exceptional music!"

"PitFest Oldham 2010"

"Kicking off the evening are relative newcomers Jaguar Jones. Hailing from Cheshire these fellas are on a mission to add some much needed excitement to the indie/alternative scene with their fresh blasts guitar pop and Jamie T style eclecticism, they're ones to watch for sure so check them out at PiFest before they get huge…"

Three of our five most recent songs (Self-recorded and mixed in garages, clubs, rehearsal spaces and bedrooms) are streaming from our "Favours For Friends" E.P on our Myspace page.

Influenced by the raw energy and aggression of the ENGLISH punk era (The Clash, The Buzzcocks) and the idea that music should always be a bold statement while remaining accessible to the everyman JaguarJones are an un-compromising live band.

On record, we again DO NOT believe in line-drawing or stylistics - if it feels good and sounds good it goes down - you'll hear dub, ska, dubstep, electronic, industrial, indie, blues and lo-fi influences all over our recordings. Pace - changing and sonically diverse sounds layered with socially aware "witty and erudite" lyrics a-la Blur, The Smiths and The Specials make us who we are - a stand out from the beige dirge or bands currently flooding the indie and pop charts.

At the end of the day, we're just five lads in a band, nothing exceptional in terms of musical talent, no grades, no parents funding us - just five normal young lads with boring daytime jobs and the ability together to make truly individual, enjoyable, diverse and attention grabbing music of an evening by ourselves in an old run down mansion in Manchester, England.
