Jah Nissi

Originally from port au prince,Jah Nissi was born october 12, his real name< Ernst Toussaint >passionate of football, and his dream was to become a professional player. But given the opposition of his parents, he was obliged to change his mind.

In the neighborhood, where he lived, there was a church, and that where he discovered something else was in him and it was the music.

In the 90's, he father was living in venezuela. advised them,him and his younger brother, to find someone to teach them to play intruments. and they find one of the best bass player in haiti.(Moise Cenatus)Ernst learnedthe bass, and his brother took the guitar solo.in 1996, his family emigrate to venezuela, and Ernst, perfect his musical career .and went to learn the drums. in a few years, he formed a group called, the (will).and later (magic stars)in 2005 he left Venezuela to live in the states,to see how his dream in music is going.but it did'nt work, and finally in 2007 he went to canada to live permanently,and began to work on what he wanted to do ages, to release his album.his music is reggae roots.he was influenced by various great musicians.as Bob Marley,Alpha Blondy, Tiken Jah Fakoly,Morgan Heritage, Bookman Experyans,Eddy Francois,,Midnite, Nasio fontaine,and others.these artists really give him the strenth to fight for the lower class, that's he came from.He understand their pain,their vicissitudes oflife.their music have gratly transformed and made him what he is today. A roots musician.This is since it is in canada that he discorvered his true identity.Now he agreed to lead a life of struggle, advocating reconcilliation inhis text.He sings the misery ofhis people, the despair ofa great nation.In his music, there is hope, we can dream of a better tomorrow. He wants to make the unity.......... Jah Nissi, is all this, a messenger of hope.
